"Everything is made out of magic, leaves and trees, flowers and birds, badgers and foxes and squirrels and people. So it must be all around us. In this garden - in all the places." --from The Secret Garden by F. H. Burnett
At Greenovia Crafts, we try to capture a little bit of magic in every one of our terrariums, kokedama, succulent planters and other lush designs. After too many years of talking about starting a small business together, Joanne Zygmunt and Jill Miceli, longtime friends and gardening hobbyists, finally got down to it in 2016. At Joanne's home-based studio on the South Shore of Massachusetts, Greenovia's creations are made with peace and love.
Joanne (right), a sustainable living consultant and personal green coach, and Jill (left), a social worker, believe all business has a social and environmental responsibility to fulfill. To that end, Greenovia Crafts operates with as little an impact on the natural environment as possible and participates in charity, education and volunteering.
In addition to shopping Greenovia's collections online, you can find us at various fairs and events in New England where we sell limited edition designs and also hold workshops. When we are not coming to you to lead a DIY terrarium-planting activity at your party, we can be found hosting planting parties at local restaurants and other venues.
Oh, and if you are wondering what inspired Greenovia Crafts - greenovia is a rare succulent plant shaped like a rose. It is very beautiful and we chose it because we thought it was a fun twist for us as less traditional florists. You will rarely find roses in our designs, but most definitely succulents!
